How do I unlock an app?
Open the Key tab, pick the apps you need and send your friend the request. They open the link and read you the six-digit code. Type it in BuddyLock. The picked apps open for up to 15 minutes, then lock again.
Does my friend need BuddyLock?
No. They only open a web page. No app, no account.
The code doesn't work.
Codes are one-time and last 10 minutes from when your friend opens the link. Ask for a new request if it expired. Five wrong tries pause that request.
Can I add apps or extend a lock?
Yes. While locked, tap “Lock more apps” or choose +15/+30/+60 minutes. You can't remove apps or shorten a lock until it ends.
What if I really need my phone?
Use the emergency exit: up to three times in 30 days, after a short wait. Your streak resets.
Why can I still turn BuddyLock off?
iOS lets the phone's owner turn off Screen Time access or delete any app. For a stronger lock, ask a friend to set a Screen Time passcode on your phone.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings in BuddyLock → Pro → Restore Purchases. Manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Which iPhones are supported?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Screen Time must be allowed for BuddyLock.
